Product Overview | PTC140 Pipe Cutter: Screw-Feed and Lever-Feed Demonstrations
The PTC140 pipe cutter is available in screw-feed and lever-feed versions. Each uses a different mechanism to lower the cutting wheel. The two videos below show how each version operates.
Screw Feed: Gradual Adjustment with a Turning Handle
Turn the top handle to gradually lower the cutting wheel. The screw-feed mechanism allows the operator to adjust the feed incrementally throughout the cut.
Lever Feed: Direct Control with a Hand Lever
Pull down the operating lever to lower the cutting wheel. The lever-feed mechanism provides direct, hands-on control, allowing the operator to adjust the downward force as cutting progresses.
How Do the Two Feed Methods Compare?
| Feature | Screw Feed | Lever Feed |
| Operation | Turn the top handle | Pull down the operating lever |
| Feed control | Incremental adjustment through a screw mechanism | Direct control through a lever |
| Handling | Gradual feed adjustment | Simple, intuitive lever movement |
With either version, adjust the feed to suit the pipe material and cutting conditions. Avoid feeding too quickly or applying excessive force.
